Moonbows

@ sundog.clara.co.uk

Moonbow and Venus imaged by Rob Ratkowski (photography) in May 2004.

Moonbows are very rare. The moon must be bright and not too high, the sky must be dark else the faint bow will not be visible and there must be rain in the direction opposite the moon. Orion was setting when Rob took this spectacular image, Venus is the bright object inside the bow. Mars is above it to the left and Saturn is above Mars and outside the primary. Capella is the bright star to the right (north) of Venus.

Discover New Music - Pandora

@ pandora.com

Let the internet suggest some bands/songs you might like.
"Can you help me discover more music that I'll like?

Those questions often evolved into great conversations. Each friend told us their favorite artists and songs, explored the music we suggested, gave us feedback, and we in turn made new suggestions. Everybody started joking that we were now their personal DJs".

Osgood was good

@ bbc.co.uk

Peter Osgood has died at the age of 59.
He played in the first FA Cup final I watched, and was the last player to score in every round of the cup.

'Osgood was good' is a reference that "Osgood is good" was written on the side of the van in the original The Italian Job.

RIP

Multi-input Touch Screen

@ zerosign.net

"This is a video of a multi-input touch screen that hopefully will make its way into consumer computer market in time. A standard touch screen allows one input at a time. This allows multiple people to use it and allows for Minority Report like features. Super Cool"

Pantomime 2005-06

@ its-behind-you.com

The Ugly Sisters have a fantastically detailed diary of their time doing the panto in Newcastle here. Not only does it have day by day summaries, reviews, photos of everybody, and comments, it wishes me a happy birthday too! Hurray. The stage crew even get complimented on their slick work.

Elsewhere on their site there's a great theatre links page which has links to all sorts, including the Theatre Royal. There's diaries from other pantos they've done, scripts, articles, facts and loads more. Well worth a visit.
